Depart
by Mini / Coach from Miri it will takes 4 - 5 drive. Proceed to
Kuala Baram and boarded into a ferry to across the Baram River.
Then arrive at Sungai Tujuh - Malaysian Brunei border check point
where immigration and customs formalities are taken care of. Another
ferry to across the Belait River before you reach Kuala Belait
town. From the town it will take 2 1/2 hours to reach Bandar Seri
Begawan.
On
the way to Bandar Seri Begawan you will be passing through
Kuala Belait Town, Seria Town and Oil & Gas Industries. Brunei
City Tour - including Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Brunei
Museum, Malay Technology Museum, Arts and Handicraft Centre, Water
Village, The Royal Regalia Building, Istana Nurul Iman and The
Billionth Barrel Monument.
In
the late afternoon, after sight seeing then return to Miri.

Jame'
Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque
The
largest and magnificent mosque in Negara Brunei Darussalam and
a symbol of Islam firm hold in the country during His Majesty's
reign. Visitor will have a chance to wander in the mosque for
a closer look. The mosque are closed during the praying time.
Brunei
Museum
About
6.5km from Bandar Seri Begawan the architecturally pleasing
building which houses the Brunei Museum. There are a variety
of displays including a unique prized exhibit of Islam Art.
The large private collection of elaborately glided Holy Koran
is testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of the ancient
calligraphers, among priced ceramic, glass, jewelry and carpet
treasures. Other galleries in the Museum contain bronzes, Borneo
Ethnography displays, a natural history section and an outline
history of oil formation and production.

Malay
Technology Museum
Situated
nearby the Brunei Museum, the Malay Technology. Museum offers
the visitor an intriguing insight into the lifestyle of the
Brunei in the days gone by. Focusing on the traditional house-building
techniques and other aspects of Malay life, it shows the ingenuity
of the former inhabitants in their utilization of the materials
locally available. Authentically recreated ' 3 - D Exhibitions
' of boat makers, fishermen, metal workers and goldsmiths easily
transport the visitors to traditional times-excellent for photographs.

Arts
and Handicraft Centre
Situated
along the Brunei River at Jalan Residency, traditional arts
and crafts of Brunei Darussalam have been revived at this centre.
Here traditional sarongs woven with gold or silver threads called
' Jong Sarat " are designed with intricate detail. Worn on ceremonial
occasions for centuries, these sarongs are often valuable as
heirlooms and collectors pieces. Hand tooled silver jewelry
and ornaments such as the ornamental cannons or the snake-like
dagger known as the "Keris" can be purchased from the centre
handicraft shop.

Water
Village Tour
Early
European visitors to Brunei Darussalam described 'Kampung Ayer"
or 'Water Village' as '7he Venice of the East'. Today visitors
continue to be fascinated by these traditional and historic
houses on stilts, which span the greater part of the Brunei
River. Home for nearly 3O,OOO people Kampung Ayer is accessible
by boat or wooden bridges near Bandar Seri Begawan. 7he government
has provided every modern facility for the residents including
schools, clinics, police stations and mosques.
The
Royal Regalia Building
Situated
in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan, the former Churchill Memorial
Building has been renovated the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty's
accession to the throne in 1992. 7he reconstructed building
is a home to a collection of Royal Regalia, including the Royal
Chariot, gold and silver ceremonial armor; the jewel encrusted
crowns used during the coronation and a replica of the throne,
which His Majesty uses for state occasions. 7his exhibitions
is a fully documented history of the Constitution of Negara
Brunei Darussalam.

Istana
Nurul Iman
The
most impressive site in Bandar Seri Begawan is His Majesty’s
Royal Palace, known as Istana Nurul Iman. As the largest residential
palace in the world. It's golden domed and expensive structure
situated on the banks of the Brunei River. Perhaps the best
view of the Istana is from the Persiaran Damuan, a park that
has been created along the riverbank.

The
Billionth Barrel Monument
Brunei
Shell Petroleum Company Limited to a local architect for the
design commissioned this monument. It marks the billionth barrel
production of oil in Seria oilfields. It stands along the beach
wall, near to the site of the first oil well dug 60yrs ago the
S - 1. The formal approach to the monument lies between straight
rows of trees leading from an arched entrance. Around the area
too are "noding donkeys" still in operation, pumping oil from
hundreds of metres below. The monument is about 1-1/2 hrs drive
from Bandar Seri Begawan.
