KOTA KINABALU SUMMIT
For those who enjoy a more active holiday or want to be in cool natural surroundings,then visit the Kinabalu Park. It is only about 1 1/2 - 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu, through spectacular countryside scenery on a good sealedroad. The Park isa paradise for naturalists, botanists, bird watchers, mountaineers andthose who simply admire nature. The main attraction of the Park is Mt. Kinabalu, rising majestically to a height of 4,101 metres(13,455 ft.) with its granite massif dominating the surrounding landscape.It's no wonder that, long ago, the Kadazan people named it "Aki Nabalu"or "home of the spirits of the departed". The energetic visitor can climb Mt. Kinabalu as no climbing experience is required if the main route to the summit is taken.

DAY 01
Meet at the hotel and take a 2 hour drive to Kinabalu Park early in the morning.Upon arrival and after registration at the park (1554m above sea level), proceed to the Power Station Timpohon Gate and start your joumey upto Laban Rata Resthouse. You will trek a long well-marked trials of gnarled tree roots and rocky boulders. Enjoy the numerous unique plants of the Mount Kinabalu. Stay overnight at Laban Rata Resthouse well equipped with electricity and hot water (Dinner).

DAY 02
Early the next morning at 0300 hours, continue then climb to the summit in time tosee the most beautiful sunrises in South East Asia. Descend leisure down to the Resthouse then to the Park Headquarters. There, take your lunch and enjoy the fresh, cool mountain air before returning back to Kota Kinabalu (Breakfast. Lunch).

DAY 01
Meet at hotel lobby and transfer to Kinabalu Park. Enjoy the leisurely drive to Kinabalu Park. Those with a more leisurely visit in mind can explore the rest of the Park by using the garden trails. It is also an interesting place where avid bird watchers can frequently spot the Grey Drogon and Malaysian Tree Pie. Overnight at Park (Lunch. Dinner).

DAY 02
Breakfast.Proceed to Power Station at Tiinpohon Gate and start your journey up toLaban Rate Resthouse. You will trek along well - marks trails of gnarled tree roots and rocky boulders.
