LAMBIR 
                  NATIONAL PARK
                Lambir 
                  National Park is located along 
                  the Miri-Bintulu road, which is about 32 km south of Miri town, 
                  Sarawak and was gazette on 26 June 1975. It covers an area of 
                  6,952 hectares which consist of the central portion of the Lambir 
                  Hills, a rugged east-west sandstone escarpment with a maximum 
                  height of 465 metres. Moreover, the park has high potential 
                  value for recreational, educational and research purposes. The 
                  ground flora consists of an unusual variety of palms which give 
                  an exotic feel to the park. Plant enthusiasts will be interested 
                  to know that Lambir Hills may well be the most species rich 
                  forest in the world.

                  day trips or half day trips to the Park are possible. The accommodation 
                  facilities for overnight visitors are available too and ranges 
                  from camping to standard rest house.

                The 
                  tour will depart Miri to Lambir National Park with a 30 minutes 
                  drive which passes the greeny countryside. After registration 
                  at he Park Headquarters, visitors will proceed 15 minutes walk. 
                  Along the way, you will see untouched flora and fauna. Recent 
                  studies suggest that Lambir Hills has the greatest level of 
                  plant biodiversity in the world. A 40-meters tree tower provides 
                  excellent view of forest canopy. Lambir Hills is also dotted 
                  with attractive waterfalls, which are at their best after a 
                  rainfall. Enjoy yourself by taking a dip at the pool or relax. 
                  
                Then 
                  proceed to Iban Longhouse . The Ibans are the single largest 
                  tribe in Sarawak and they traditionally live in longhouse which 
                  are actually a number of rooms linked together but sharing a 
                  common ‘ruai’ - a verandah where traditional ceremonies are 
                  performed.
