Kota
Kinabalu, the gateway to the rest of Sabah is also the state capital.
It has a population of approximately 300,000 and is usually called
K.K. It is a relatively new town as the original town was destroyed
during the Second World War. upon arrival or at the hotel, you
will be met and guided on a city tour. Take a bird's eye view
of the town from the highest hill in Kota Kinabalu - Signal Hil.
Visit the unique round shaped building with no pillars ( the 4
th of its kind in the world ) - Sabah Foundation. Following that,
a brief stop at one of the largest Chinese temples - Poh Toh Tze,
the majestic state mosque, museum and Tanjung Aru Beach Where
you can quench your thirst with fresh coconut water. After completing
tour, transfer back to hotel.

An
interesting tour of the city with an extra bit to the scenic countryside
of Sabah. You will visit the Mengkabong Water Village, home of
the Bajau fishermen. Here, you can observe the lifestyle of the
Bajaus in homes on stilts built over the sea with roofs made from
nipah palms leaves and walls of mangrove wood or split bamboo.
A network of gangplanks link the houses to each other and the
mainland. From there, experience a fascinating suspension bridge
at Tamparuli. It is built with metal cables and wire netting but
traditional structures of wood, rottan, rope and bamboo can still
be found in the interior. Lastly, a visit to the pottery factory
where you will be able to try your hand at the potter's wheel
and buy some souvenirs to take home.
KINABALU PARK TOUR WITH LUNCH

Meet
at the hotel and transfer to Kinabalu Park. Enjoy the leisurely
Drive to Kinabalu Park. With Mount Kinabalu rising majestically
to a height of 4,101m, Kinabalu Park is considered to be a botanical
paradise. It is home to over 1,500 species of orchids, 450 species
of ferns, 60 species of oak and chestnut, 26 species of rhododendrons
and a host of other plants. Take a short trail walk with the park
naturalist. A visit to the mountain garden and exhibition centre
will tell more about the Park. No professional climbing experience
is needed, as the trail up the mountain is fairly attainable.
Those with a more leisurely visit in mind can explore the rest
of the Park by using the graded trails. It L% also an interesting
place where avid bird watchers can frequently spot the Grey Drongo
and Malaysian Tree Pie.
PORING HOTSPRINGS AND KINABALU PARK TOUR

Take
a leisurely drive to Poring Hotspring ( 4.31an from Kinabalu Park
). Bypass a small town known as Ranau. Poring Hosprings, also
part of the Kinabalu Park Area lies in lowland dipterocarp forest
at the eastern boundary of the Park. Take a hike up to the Canopy
Walkway, a network of walkway set 15Oft above the ground. End
the hike with a dip into the Natiral Health Spa - pools of naturally
heated sulphur water. From Poring, take a drive to Kinabalu Park
and enjoy the surroundings of a botanical paradise. Visit also
the mountani garden and the exhibition centre to learn more about
the Park.
