Sipadan, according to Mr. Jean Michael Cousteau, world famous explorer and environmentalist, is one of the ten most beautiful island in the world. Situated off-shore Semporna, Sabah. Sipadan is a small island with vertical walls that plunge to 600m. Barrel sponges, nudibranchs, tunicates and soft corals abound and its turtle population is famous. The divers would see plenty consisted mainly of green turtles while hawksbill and leatherback are also sighted less frequently.
